Brief History
The original Farm Zand Kraal was first registered in the name of Mr Johannes Nicholas Gerhardus Andreas Vosloo on 1 November 1838, when he bought the 3809 morgen of land from “Her Majesty Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland” for the mere sum of 1 pound 16 shillings! The farm stayed in the possession of the Vosloo and Van Wyk Family until 1981, when it was sub-divided. The current portion of land, known as Zand Kraal is now owned by the Louw Family.
